Go Strike Your Head

Go strike your head; don’t worry if you’re hurt
Someone will come and pick you up to mend
Maybe you’ll bleed into your city’s dirt
Maybe you’ll love a candy or a friend
Go strike your head and watch perspective fade
from clear and bright to smudged and dark, at best
Death only lasts as long as lives are made
and life alludes to what it will suggest
Go strike your head; no spirit in your brain
exists to tell your god that you have sinned
Feelings of truth will permeate your pain
Set yourself free into the cyclone wind
Magic is in the spells your ego casts
So, enjoy the fantasy while it lasts
